Enlarge Quick Launch icons in Windows Vista

Windows 7 looks slick and glassy. The large icons on the Taskbar never fail to mesmerize you, right? Well, you cannot easily duplicate that on Vista, but you can make your Quick Launch icons look bigger with a very simple workaround.

Unlike Windows XP, doing this doesn't affect the Quick Launch icons at all.

But if you can live with a bigger Taskbar, you can make your icons bigger. Just follow these steps.

• Right-click the Taskbar and uncheck 'Lock the Taskbar' if it is locked. You can now see handles around the Quick Launch bar to make it longer and shorter.

• Now, right-click the handle that is beside the Start orb and in View, select 'Large Icons'.

• Now, the Taskbar has got bigger and the icons are large, about the size of the icons on your desktop.
• You can now change the width of the Quick Launch bar to make all icons visible and you can lock the Taskbar again, if you want.

If you cannot upgrade to Windows 7, you can at least try to be satisfied with this.
